Climate Change & Oceans/Fisheries

school of fishWhen it comes to fisheries management, Washington too often takes the bait and gets hooked on policies that cater to one philosophical extreme or another. Commercial versus recreational. Depleted resources or environmental extremism. The Gallant Government & Law Group cuts through the partisan rhetoric and helps bring together solutions that serve the needs of industry in a responsible, thoughtful, and balanced way.

Gary came to Washington in 1995 working for the Chairman of the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife and Oceans. In that capacity, Gary learned that the delicate balance between resources and conservation need not be an “either/or” proposition. Americans can leverage our wonderful resources without any lasting impacts on wildlife, but it requires putting aside partisan hyperbole and getting to work on crafting thoughtful federal policies. Gary is expert in this area and can help you educate the federal policymakers on plans that work.

Gary is also an avid boater who loves the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. He has worked with boating organizations and trade associations on maritime issues on both the federal and state level. Gary understands the impact boating has on regional economies and has worked to effectively position industry stakeholders on a variety of policy matters.
